Each Grape Escapes tour is accompanied by Lys Hall, an established lecturer on the wines of Europe and an expert on those of Italy, Spain and the Pyrenean area in particular. She also has a degree in Art History and a passion for Mediterranean history, as well as having a good all-round knowledge and love of the countries themselves. She has been organising and accompanying wine groups for over a decade.
We are delighted to announce the additional tours for 2012/2013, run in association with Arblaster & Clarke Wine Tours, who share our ethos of offering wonderful personally escorted wine tours and despite being the world's leader in the field, remain a small, family-run company.
The early April 2012 tour to Puglia and Campania is now fully booked and we are all looking forward to spring in soutern Italy.
The next scheduled trip will be to Barcelona and Priorat in September. Additional details on this tour and others in the Arblaster & Clarke programme can be found on their website.
The approach to the holidays will be the same as always, to examine and enjoy the fine-wine producing regions in a way that allows the wines to be viewed in context – so local gastronomy and history are also given a significant part of the itinerary. Each of the winery visits is structured for a group and is by previously arranged appointment, whilst the sightseeing is mainly unstructured so as to allow individuals to arrange the time to maximum advantage.

To comply with travel legislation, Grape Escapes Holidays is legally operated and bonded by Arblaster & Clarke. When you book a non-flight-inclusive arrangement with them you will be covered by ABTOT and when you a book a flight-inclusive arrangement you will be covered by CAA ATOL licence 2543. Your booking form and deposit cheque (made payable to Arblaster & Clarke Wine Tours Ltd) should be sent directly to them. You will then receive your deposit receipt, balance invoice, flight confirmation (if applicable) and insurance policy directly from Arblaster & Clarke Wine Tours. Your balance payment, when due, should also be sent directly to Arblaster & Clarke Wine Tours.
